Glenn is a driven and focused technician who displays a desire to provide a fast, efficient and cost-effective design solution for clients, whether this be a modest extension or a new build bespoke property.
Prior to establishing Homeplan Glenn worked within a wide range of construction and building services related fields.
Having started his working life with Gloucester City Council in what was then the City Architects Department, whilst there Glenn worked in various departments including Planning and Building Control whilst embarking on ONC and HND studies at Gloucester College of Arts and Technology.
After leaving Gloucester City Council Glenn worked as a draughtsman for various local companies both directly employed and as a sub-contractor and this included works with structural engineering practice, roofing and cladding and ground investigation.
Having also worked on site as a quality assurance engineer for concrete structures at Lloyds Bank Headquarters in Cannons Marsh, Bristol.
Whilst working as a draughtsman for a refrigeration and engineering company Glenn went in to design and contracting gaining further building services engineering qualification at Bath College focusing on air conditioning and ventilation and qualified as a design technician whilst also taking the engineers “hands on” qualifications and also attained Associate membership of the Institute of Refrigeration and a member of The American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers Engineers, and formed his own air conditioning and building services company which was sold in 2008. The early foundation in architecture proving invaluable in building services design.
Since the early days with Gloucester City Council Glenn has always worked self employed alongside full time works continuing with house extension and new build works and decided in 2016 to fully focus on architectural works with Homeplan.
